I had a look at several answers, and some say the side-effects will eventually fade, just give it time. Some unfortunately are concerned about liver damage being permanent.

I think you need to do your own research or consult your physician again.</description>

		<description>I was prescibed a statin drug to lower my cholesterol. I took this drug for about 3 months. The side effects have me now with bad leg cramps, I stopped taken the drug 5 days ago.  Does anyone know how long will these cramps last?</description>

		<description>The truth is that NO woman should ever be given Lipitor or any other statin drug for elevated cholesterol.

There are no statin trials with even the slightest hint of a mortality benefit in women and women should be told so.
 
In other words, statin drugs don’t work for women.
